20 trout in 2.5 hours

20 trout on a stringer

Sure the weather in Florida was 85+ and sunny, but the fishing in Wisconsin was perfect on Saturday. What a great first weekend back from vacation, kind of makes you forget about the low 40s and rain… kind of, but not really.

Sidenote: Wow, the eyebrows in this pic are the same as in the header image for this blog. Didn’t realize I had a favorite pose.

Nicely done! It was pretty crappy out until just Sunday. And how many of those did the boys let you catch?

I reeled in one fish, and set the hook on just a few, the kids did most of the work on their own. We went back on Sunday and only brought home six — the fishing wasn’t as good as Saturday, but the weather was way better.

That’s impressive! Dedication to the max. I don’t think you could pay me to go sit outside in the cold for hours and fish. Maybe if I was moving around, but fishing is a game of patience. When it’s cold, my patience goes out the window.

@ Jeremy – Guess I forgot to mention the thermos of Bloody Marys and cooler of beer. Plus, we were catching fish and took the kids, so there wasn’t much sitting going on… you know, kids + fish = big mess to untangle. 🙂
